Product Specification
The SPS Series solar power supplies are designed to
provide constant power for CCTV and other related equipment in an outdoor
environment. All devices are weatherproof and come complete with control box and
solar panels. Supplied connectors for CCTV equipment are 2.1x 5.5 power jack
(center pin positive). The SPS400TX comes with a female RCA type connector and
power jack for attaching the video camera.
- These devices have no low voltage protection. Do not let the
battery voltage drop below 9.5V.
- Do not drop.
- The battery has a life span of approximately 400-600 cycles. The battery may
be changed by removing the cover of the control box and removing the thumb
screws holding the battery. Replace with a compatible SLA battery.
- The solar panel should be placed in an area that receives full sun. Mount the
panel facing south elevated at 20-45 degrees.
Important Notes:
1. Turn power switch off and let system recharge if battery voltage drops
below 9.0 volts. Reposition solar panel if needed for more sunlight.
2. Do not leave charging for longer than 4 days without having camera connected
and switched on.
3. Do not draw more current than specified. 150mA for SPS150, 400mA for SPS400,
and ~250mA for SPS400TX with transmitter enabled.
4. Attach all external devices to the SPS system before turning the system on.
5. Internal fuse is 2A slow blow. Replace with similar fuse if needed
(supplied).
